Feedback from previous clients

Charlotte has been amazing at helping me through this tricky time. She has always listened, empathised and supported me. She has given me the tools I need to manage my anxiety for the future and I had every confidence in her skills/techniques. THANK YOU!!

Charlotte was most attentive and genuinely interested, despite my particular issue not being one that would be perceived as critical but which was very important to me. Thank you.

Throughout this process, Charlotte was extremely helpful and supportive. This was my first time accessing therapy like this so I was slightly anxious beforehand. She was very approachable, provided positive techniques to support me and I felt really comfortable speaking with her. Charlotte also responded to emails promptly and provided me with the assurance I needed at this time. I cannot thank her enough for her support and I would have no hesitation in recommending her and the services on offer to anyone else who needed them.  I am now in a much better place thanks to the help and support I have received.

Charlotte is an amazing therapist; she was so compassionate and professional at all times. She has really helped me come to terms with what I had been dealing with and always treated me well and made me feel comfortable confiding in her. she is a credit to the service. Thanks very much Charlotte - I owe a lot to you!

I will say it over & over again before I came to Charlotte Crompton I was unable to see any sort of light at the end of the tunnel but Charlotte truly helped me come out the other side.  I'm now the person I always wanted to be tooled up and ready to take on any obstacles that I know I'll be able to overcome. Thank you Charlotte.

Charlotte was amazing right from the start which for me was very difficult due to my brother in-law passing away on that day. She tuned into my state of mind and encouraged and helped me to express my feelings without any judgement. Helped me to think differently to come out of this dark place where I seemed to have landed. My trauma happened over 22 years ago and I didn't realise it was affecting me till now. I am truly grateful to Charlotte for this therapy .

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBT?

thumbnail_Accredited Logo Web.jpg

CBT is based on the idea that how we think about situations can affect the way we feel and behave. Our interpretations of situations are influenced by our past experiences, particularly our early experiences. I will work with you to identify how your experiences have shaped your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours before moving on to explore how you can change unhelpful thinking and behavioural patterns, to improve how you feel.

How many sessions do you offer and how long does each session last?

How many sessions you have will depend on your goals for therapy and the nature of your individual difficulties. In general, the minimum amount of sessions offered will be 6. Generally, 12-20 sessions of CBT is helpful. Each session lasts 50 minutes and appointments are usually weekly.

How much does each session cost?

Each 50 minute session costs £70. I offer some discounted sessions for students or those on a very low income, so please get in touch if you would like to discuss this.

How will I know if CBT is right for me?

After you make initial contact, we will arrange for a free 20 minute conversation so that I can find out a bit more about your situation and whether it is something I can help you with. This will also give us a sense of whether we could work well together. We will review how therapy is going every 3-6 sessions.

Where will therapy take place?

I offer sessions in Dorking Town centre, Surrey. The full address will be provided to you once we arrange our first meeting. If you live further away and would prefer video sessions, I can offer these via a video platform called 'Sessions' which is free and easy to access.
